Manufacturing Day Activities 2026

Shelby County Ohio is a manufacturing powerhouse! In fact, Shelby County boast the largest manufacturing employment per capita in the State of Ohio – 45.1% are employed in Manufacturing.

To recognize this important industry, area manufacturing companies open their doors each year so students and teachers can see advanced manufacturing firsthand.  The official MFG Day is held on Friday, October 2, 2026, but some companies and schools will organize their tours throughout the entire month of October.

The manufacturing institute estimates that 3.8  million manufacturing jobs will need to be filled between now and 2033.
